All orders, excluding large paintings, are shipped via US Postal Mail, or either First Class or Priority Mail, depending on the weight of the package. Large paintings are shipped via UPS.
All orders ship from the Chicagoland area. First class mail has a 3-5 mailing day turnaround and Priority Mail has a 1-3 mailing day turnaround, depending on the destination. These are estimates provided by the USPS. Delays can happen, which are outside of my control, due to inclement weather, USPS delays, holiday volume, errors in address provided, etc
UPS shipments have a 2-5 business days transit time, depending on the destination. Chicago area destinations normally have two day transit times.
Tracking will be provided with the shipment notification to give you the estimated date of receipt.
Large paintings are wrapped in bubble wrap. They are then floated in a carton, by bracing all four corners of the piece against the inside corner of the carton. This insures that the surface of the painting is subjected to friction or weight in transit.
Large paintings arrive ready to hang. They are painted either on a stretched canvas or a cradled wood panel.
My stretched canvases always stay on their stretcher bars, and that is how you will receive it. in most cases the stretchers are 1.5 inch thick, unless otherwise noted in listing for the painting. The edges are staple free and painted a neutral gray. All canvases are wired in back for hanging.
Paintings on cradled wood are almost always 1.5 inches thick. Some rare paintings are .75 inches thick and are noted in the listing. The edges of the panel are 100% solid wood and stained a medium walnut. The back of the painting is wired for hanging. Smaller wood panels can sit on a shelf, or hang on a wall.
All paintings are titled and dated on the back. The front has my painted signature with year.
